Global Saskatoon’s new Sports Director Kim Thue didn’t always want to be in front of the camera.

“A career in sports had always been my dream and goal and although I aspired to be a professional athlete, I decided to do the next best thing and become a sports reporter and anchor.”

After graduating from WABC in 2005, Kim started his broadcast career at Newcap Television in Lloydminster. He spent five years there, doing everything from Master Control to shooting, reporting and anchoring.

Kim joined Global Saskatoon in March 2010 and has had a chance to see first-hand the Saskatoon Blades win the Scotty Munro Memorial Trophy, the Saskatoon Hilltops winning back-to-back Canadian Bowl Championships and the Huskies women's basketball team winning the Canada West championship.

“I look forward to seeing much more success the Bridge City will no doubt encounter as I take over my new role as Sports Director.”

Proudly raised in Bengough, Saskatchewan, Kim and his wife Sarah live in Martensville with their dog Butter.

Kim's motto is “live every moment.”

You can watch Kim Monday to Friday as he brings you the latest from the local sports scene as well as the best from the professional leagues on the Evening News @ 6, Prime News @ 10 and News Final @ 11.
