A Saskatoon mother mourning her son's death in what's called the choking game wants schools to teach children about the risks.
Zachary Dawson, who was 13, died last month playing the game alone at home. It involves intentionally cutting off oxygen to the brain to get light-headed.
Dawn Dawson, Zachary's mother, says he went too far and couldn't rescue himself.
Dawson says she had never heard of the game, so she couldn't talk about it with her son, who didn't realize how unsafe it was.
