Kevin Jesus

Originally born in Edmonton, Kevin dreamed of becoming a sports reporter since the age of 12. He took the first step in realizing that dream when he enrolled in the Radio and Television Broadcasting course at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, graduating with honours in 2003.

Upon graduation, Kevin worked as a freelance reporter for Shaw TV Edmonton before moving on to Newcap TV in Lloydminster to be their sports reporter. Soon afterwards, it was on to Global Sports in Saskatoon, where he was recently promoted to Sports Director.

When he arrived in the "Bridge City", Kevin was blown away at how passionately everyone rallies behind local sports. "It's amazing to see such support for amateur sport. Too often it gets overlooked, so it's nice to see it get the respect it deserves.”

And while it is certainly no secret that he loves sports, it's soccer that holds a firm place in his heart. "I'm Portuguese, so from the moment I was born it was all soccer, all the time. It helped that my dad played professionally in Portugal, which only fueled my passion for the sport."

In addition to sports, Kevin is no stranger to helping out in the community. Cystic Fibrosis and Cancer are two charitable causes that he enjoys working with most. Kevin is always willing to participate for a good cause.
