Saskatoon police are investigating after a gun was discharged in a classroom Thursday morning in a classroom at St. Peter Catholic Elementary School.
Police were called to the school in the 200-block Sumner Crescent around 10:15 a.m. after the handgun was discharged into a locker at the back of the classroom.
No one was injured in the incident.
Staff members immediately took possession of the handgun.
Officers believe the 11-year-old boy brought the handgun to the school not knowing it was loaded.
Police are currently working with school officials, the boy and his family.
More details on the incident will be released once the investigation is complete.
